Boy Dies In Apparent Accidental Shooting

Police are investigating the death of a 4-year-old Indiana boy.

According to reports, the boy may have accidentally shot himself at a liquor store in Beecher, Indiana. He was discovered Thursday morning at Tubby’s Wine & Spirits and taken to a local hospital, where he pronounced dead about 2 p.m. Thursday.

Officials said they think the boy found a loaded gun behind the counter.

Toddler Unhurt After Falling Four Floors

Officials said a toddler who fell through a fourth-floor window Wednesday is lucky she didn’t emerge with any external injuries.

According to reports, the 2-year-old fell from the window in Arlington Heights after putting her weight on the screen and popping it.

Officials said the incident was not a case of neglect, but just an accident.

The girl was taken to a local hospital for observation.

Preschooler Falls Into Pool At Party

A preschool boy was taken to a hospital after being pulled from a pool unresponsive Monday afternoon.

According to reports, the 4-year-old boy was at a neighborhood party when the accident occurred. A few other children saw him in the pool and they got some adults’ attention.

Officials said the adults who pulled the boy out quickly administered CPR and EMTs were on the scene within five minutes.

He was reportedly taken to a local hospital conscious and responsive.

Girl Hospitalized After Fall From Window

A young girl was hospitalized Tuesday after falling from a second-floor window in the Little Village.

According to officials, about 11 a.m. the girl’s mother lost sight of her for a moment and then heard screaming from outside. The mother found her daughter on the sidewalk outside and called emergency personnel. The four-year-old was taken to a local hospital and was listed in serious to critical condition.

The girl suffered fractures to both arms and a skull fracture.

Woman Dies After Fall In Grant Park

A southside Chicago woman died after falling in Grant Park and hitting her head Thursday evening.

According to reports, emergency workers received a call just after 9 p.m. Thursday evening after a woman fell down stairs near the Buckingham Fountain, hitting her head.

She was pronounced dead Friday at a nearby hospital. An autopsy is expected, but officials said she likely died from head injuries sustained in the fall.

ComEd Worker Suffers Severe Shock

A Commonwealth Edison employee was recovering from a severe shock Thursday in Northbrook.

According to ComEd, the employee was injured Thursday afternoon just before 2 p.m. and was taken to a local hospital.

According to reports, it is believed the man received a shock from an electrical panel on a wall near the train tracks.
